Start/Finish Line Camping: Chickasawhay District of DeSoto National Forest: The LONGLEAF TRAIL Camping Area is at the MS 50 Start / Finish line. Primitive camping with pit toilet but no water.  For information call (601) 428-0594.

KOA Campground -
(601) 426-6444 or 1-800-562-0378; Located seven miles north of Laurel, this campground has 55 shaded camping pads with full hookups, and some that have phone and cable hookups available. Laundry facilities, pool, playground, clean rest rooms with hot showers, convenience store, and fishing pond are some of the conveniences offered as well. The campground also has one cabin that can accommodate up to four guests.

Big Creek Water Park - (601) 763-8555; Part of the Pat Harrison Waterway, this facility is located about 12 miles west of Laurel in Soso. The camping area has 26 camping  pads, some with water and sewer hookup and some with water and electricity. There are two A-frame cabins with two bedrooms each and one bedroom camp houses. There is a nature trail for hiking and 150 acre lake with excellent fishing. A catfish pond and a swimming area available to cabin and camping guests only. A boat launch is available and jet skiing is allowed from 10 a.m. to sunset.

Lake Bogue Homa - (601) 425-2148 Located seven miles east of Laurel, it has six camping pads with electricity and water hookups and numerous primitive campsites. The 1,200 acre lake is open for boating, skiing, and fishing from noon to sundown, and there is a picnic area available.
