available:: 100 Milers - beginning at 10 am Friday at the race site

site, and 5-6 am (7-8 am for the 20K) at the race site. .
-
Jones County and the Desoto National Forest
are dry (no alcohol) areas. Please be discrete with your
beverages.
-
The Trail has been well-cleaned and
well-marked. To ensure the future of this race (on National Forest
property), we must leave the area better than we found it. Please do
not litter, and it's OK to pick up any litter you see while running
and take to the next aid station (good excuse to walk for a second).
-
50K Runners Special Notice - After
running the big loop twice (25 miles), you will then run the small loop.
Please study the map and ask questions if you do not understand.
-
Changing Races - (Special MS 50
feature!) After running 2 big loops (25 miles) you may elect to move
up (from 50K to 50 Miles) or down (50 Miles to 50K). 50K runners can
also elect to switch to the 20K after their first loop. Please tell
the scorer at the start finish line if you are changing races. He
may be busy; It is your responsibility to be sure he has noted the
change before you leave. Remember that persons switching races are
not eligible for trophies, and only the 50 mile finishers get a 50
Mile Belt Buckle in addition to the other awards.
-
Water Bottles - It is strongly suggested
that you carry at least one water bottle with you, and drink at
least 20 oz. every 2 1/2 miles.
-
Pet
Policy - Pets are not permitted on the course, at the Start/Finish area, or
at aid
